It’s been a while but I’m back with another published piece at Heavy Magazine. Following on from the Top 5 Best Tom Hanks Movies, The Top 10 Best Moments from Game of Thrones I’ve now done a recap of the Top 10 Best Moments from the latest season of the Netflix hit show Stranger Things. Spoiler Alert! Don’t read if you haven’t caught up on this season yet.
I find Strangers Things a frustrating show, on the one hand I kind of love it and then at times I found myself kind of zoning out looking at my phone never compelled to go back and watch scenes I’ve missed.
To this end doing a Top 10 was great because I could just write about those moments that just worked. Be sure to check it out here https://heavymag.com.au/tv-top-10-best-moments-stranger-things-season-2/ and let us know what your favourite moments were.
Heavy is an independent magazine and website that is all about the music and specifically heavy music and supporting the Australian music scene in general. Fortunately for me they do cover film as well and I have been fortunate to have a few things published there.

I’m not as ‘up on’ the new movies as I should be, but I’m glad you’re still getting published at the mag., Lloyd. They know a good reporter when they read one!!
Hardly a reporter but it means a lot to me to write something that gets past an editor who is then happy to put it up on website that is his/her livelihood. Thanks GP, Heavy is continuing to grow and I am hoping to support them with that and grow with them.
This new series is also ‘big’ here, but I have never seen it. I presume it is on Netflix, Amazon TV, or cable, and I don’t have any of those.
Well done for getting published again Lloyd. I say, “Hurrah!” 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks Pete, it is on Netflix. One of only two streaming services I have. I recommend getting one but I’m relatively new to it myself. My parents have cable and so won’t be adding to that any time soon a streaming service. I thought they would really like the series The Crown from Netflix and hoped that eventually they would release it on DVD like they do with House of Cards. I was delighted to see they had done so just this week. And with Christmas just around the corner… 🙂
By the way just putting it out there but I just watched The Way We Were and it made me so sad. What an asshole!
I loved that film too! Haven’t seen it in decades…
I don’t know Pete can you really love it. He dun her wrong man. So wrong.
I was crazy about Streisand at the time. And she played a Commie! The perfect combination.
She’s very cool.
Lloyd, congrats on the new article in Heavy! I have season 2 ready to go but I fear it will have to wait until I have a holiday break. Also, your comment, great stuff but at times falling asleep….I loved the first season and was glued. Of course, I’ll give it a try, but I haven’t heard a lot of wow’s concerning it.
I feel the same way about Season 1 that I feel about Season 2. So hopefully if you love Season 1 then you will love this. Two things I will point out, the kids are not together for some of it and I think that will disappoint some fans. Secondly I think I liked season 2 more, I feel like they’re developing this world and the characters and making their own things rather than just relying on intertextuality. I think it’s solid and will definitely watch Season 3.
Right then, I’m interested.
Another job well done Lloyd. I have to admit I’d never even heard of Stranger Things until I read your article, but it would be nice to see Winona Ryder again after all these years. From photographs I’ve just seen her character looks a little like Meryl Streep in Silkwood..
Thanks Paul, hopefully you enjoy it.
